By any medium necessary best describes my process of moving fluidly among media that include tactile sound, bioluminescent plankton, sculptural video, and tune-able atmospheres. I call upon technological modes of extending our senses, culturally rooted understandings of health and healing, and the intangible ways that our bodies intuit space and presence. I am interested in generating participatory and responsive modalities that invite people to become choreographers of their experience of art. My process relates a sensitivity to ephemeral phenomena, sensory knowledge, and spatial form with a mutable palette of technologies, materials, and ways of knowing. I am continually reconfiguring these to shape environments of experience that invite people into a fully embodied sense of being in the present moment. Each intends to shift a view of contemplation that we generally regard as solitary and removed from the flow of life, into one that sparks a sense of connection. While my approach is poetic, I draw upon technological innovation, scientific research, and our evolving notions of what it is to be human within a 21st century interconnected whole.
